The new UVEX hi-com earplugs, provide an increased level of communication with the environment (lower attenuation of the speech frequency range) and, thanks to a specially shaped surface, abolish the "shell effect".
Part of the sound spreads from inside the body (e.g. along the bones) causing a "shell"-resonance effect.
This causes humming.
The surface of the earplugs is shaped in the form of channels that carry away sounds running from the inside and dissipate them.
Also the tip of the earplug is shaped in the form of a concave "bowl".
